Q: I have an art project coming up and I need ideas...

I need to make an abstract sculpture using only toothpicks and glue..
but in my sculpture I need to be able to show "growth"...
i can use geometric and organic shapes, and im out of ideas...

help...?
any ideas...?

A: Growth is typically characterized by something reaching toward the sun or expanding upward and outward. You could make a plant or tree shape with a broad base that narrows toward the top. Add some geometric branching, like a fractal, to make it interesting.
