Art glass, and sculpture-like works of art rendered in the finest glass.
Who are some of the masters of this art,what are the titles of some of their works, and where are some of these works on view?
A: Sculpture in glass is relatively recent. But Galle did small scale commercial sculptures successfully. Lino Tagliapietra is one of the acknowledged modern masters. Much modern glass sculpture has been cast glass in abstract. Look at the collection of Corning Museum of Glass (www.cmog.org)
Art glass including Chihuly's has been based on vessels rather than solid sculpture.
i once saw this glass sculpture that is like a tube that goes into itself but just seems continuous. i know its sounds stupid but im sure if uve seen it ull know what im talking about. anyone?
