Original Movie Poster
Q: Besides the obvious difference in price, what is it exactly that makes an 'orginal' movie poster expensive? Is it really worth it to pay a lot for an 'original' when you can get a reprint for much less?
A: An original could be a number of things, from a rough draft image, to a poster used in the initial pitching, or a poster that actually hung in a theater. It is usually a 1st run produced before the movie comes out, or does well.
It is another one of those things that collectors drool over because they have nothing better to do. Unless you intend to create a shine to the particular movie you want a poster for, I would just buy a reprint.
